Government Affairs Overview

Government Affairs educates policy makers on issues affecting the Company and our industry by developing and maintaining relationships with policy makers.  The department also tracks, monitors and provides information on legislation in order to advance and protect the Company’s interests.  In addition, the department communicates government affairs activity to both internal and external stakeholders.

Ramiro Sicre is the Government Relations Manager. He has been with Chesapeake for 11 years.

Roles and Responsibilities

As Government Relations Manager, Ramiro establishes and maintains relationships with state, county and city public officials. He focuses on building relationships with business and community organizations in our service territory.

Interesting Fact

Ramiro coached and mentored four football players that played in the NFL. One of them was selected six times to the Pro Bowl.

Steve Baccino is the Regulatory and Government Affairs Director and has been with Chesapeake Utilities for two years.

Roles and Responsibilities

Steve directs the legislative and governmental strategy for state and local initiatives, as well as provides Governmental affairs support for business unit projects.

What Steve enjoys most about his role at Chesapeake Utilities Corporation: “Working with my teammates on governmental affairs matters to influence energy and other business policies in the states where we have business operations.”
