Michelle has been with Chesapeake Utilities Corporation for 13 years.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In her role as Community Affairs Manager, Michelle is responsible for exhibiting Chesapeake Utilities Corporation’s Company values: care, integrity and excellence in the southern regions as it relates to community affairs. She assists in building sound relationships both internally and externally regarding customers, agencies, vendors, charities, business units, ERG’s, internal departments and co-workers.

Michelle supports all things community related, and assists business units with management and employee requests, vetting, processing of payments and usage of correct logos, etc. when needed. She ensures all energy conservation requests and spending meet the PSC requirements.

She leads and develops community support plans, charitable involvement and contributions including fund raisers, donations, sponsorships and volunteering. Michelle attends various functions throughout her territory to support and volunteer where needed.

Michelle works with Human Resources on wellness community-related initiatives and assists with ESG metrics for corporate governance and external communications.

Michelle collaborates with designated Marketing and Communications team members to support community-related media events and brand positioning opportunities.

INTERESTING FACT:
Michelle is the Regional Coordinator for “Stilettos on Steel,” an all-female riding group. She is part of the Chain of Lakes Chapter based in Tavares, Florida.
